We were deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. Santelli's passing and wish to extend our condolences to the Santelli family. Although our children are now 36 and 32, we have wonderful memories of their kindergarten experiences at Chango, all due to Mrs. Santelli's kindness, patience, compassion, and creativity. Our kids flourished because of Mrs. Santelli, and always felt safe and loved at school. We can only imagine the countless lives touched by Mrs. Santelli, and are so grateful for having been able to be counted among them.

Marie Santelli, a special person and teacher that went above and beyond to make my daughter feel welcome as she started kindergarten when we moved from Virginia, sharing they have the same first name. Mrs. Santelli appreciated and channeled my son's energy with understanding.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon I was fortunate to meet Chuck and Marie while out walking. That was when a new chapter of my life began and a beautiful chapter it was. I had met an amazing beautiful woman. Everything about Marie was beautiful; her smile, her love and devotion to her family, and friends, her integrity and her warmth and caring personality.
I was never in her classroom but knew she made a very positive impact on her students. We would be out walking and kids would.come running out of their homes to say hi to her. The way she would embrace them you knew she was loved and respected.
Marie, my friend, May you Rest In Peace. Chuck and family you have my sincere condolences. Though it will take time, I hope your grief can be replaced with your wonderful memories of a beautiful Wife and Mother and the special person she was to so many.

I had the high honor to have hired her as a teacher at Chango Elementary. One of the best decisions I ever made. She was special to staff, parents but most importantly to CHILDREN. Marie stayed late every day after the students left. I often had to tell her to go home, tomorrow is another day. She and others revived our kindergarten program and set a great foundation for first grade.
She cast a shadow on all the people she came in contact with that will last our lifetime. Her smile, her grace , and her work ethic set a gold standard for our school. Rest in peace Marie , you truly earned it.
