Obituary of Annette R. Waterbury

Annette R. Waterbury, age 62 of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021, with her husband Jim by her side – They were able to share a last moment of life and strength. Born in Utica, New York on January 29, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Annetta Morreale. Annette worked as a claim’s examiner for Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Albany for many years where her friends remember her as kind, having a good laugh and a warm heart. Annette enjoyed reading her newspaper, magazines, and books – She liked the All Creatures Great and Small series of books. Also, she liked taking vacations in upstate New York and New England with her husband to take in the history and see the great architecture of the mansions from the past. Most of all, Annette enjoyed spending time with, and walking her dogs. Her first dog was a birthday present - Lucky was a rescue dog (Lab, Beagle, Hound mix) that lived for eighteen years, bringing many years of joy. Her most recent rescue dog is Goldie (Chihuahua – Fox Terrier mix). Her comment at the shelter “We’ll take her” will always be remembered. Annette’s faithful dog Goldie never left her side and brought endless happiness. Annette met her husband Jim on a blind date and they hit it off immediately. They were both taking night college classes and spent evenings studying. Their future led them to Clifton Park in 1992 to live and have a wonderful life together that will always be cherished. Annette is survived by her husband of 28 years; Jim Waterbury, and her brother-in-law Eugene “Chuck” Waterbury Jr. and his wife Barbara. Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 16th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a memorial service at 12 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9 in Clifton Park.
