One year ago Annette leaving this earth so young on January 11, 2021 - Finding peace as she met God – Annette passed just 18 days, before her 63rd birthday - January 29, 2021 - Her breath of life was all too short. Annette remembered by all as Humble, Kind-Hearted, Fun Loving, Giving and Having a Beautiful Smile -
So many good pictures and memories with Annette as we wave back to the days of mystery –
Remember The Joy, The Laughter, The Smiles -
The picture of Annette and Goldie her rescue dog (above) on the doorstep in 2019 – A warm day as summer ends with Goldie on Annette’s lap - You will always see a beautiful smile in all the pictures with Annette -
So happy sitting on the sofa. Annette’s smile in the doorway in 1992 seems like yesterday in the Clifton Park apartment. Annette by the flowers she enjoys so much at Castle In The Clouds in August 1996 –
And, Annette and Lucky in New Hampshire in 1996 – Both waiting with blue skies, calm water, an ocean view and sunshine in their hold – The sunny path to follow is clearly marked with a warm smile and “More Than Words”.
1/11/2022 a year for Annette with Peace and Lucky by her side – No Pain, No Sorrow, No Cold Paws.
A birthday wish for 1/29/2022 - Rest In Peace Annette
And a song for Annette worth another listen https://youtu.be/Z8f-OuOn2TM The Alternate Routes~ Nothing More – A song about kindness - We are love – We are one - We are how we treat each other when the day is done
To be humble, to be kind.
It is the giving of the peace in your mind.
To a stranger, to a friend
To give in such a way that has no end.

December 11 is eleven months as Annette parted earth to be by God’s side – Here we have an early picture of Annette in 1994 as she hosted a Christmas party – A vacation picture in a Vermont mansion by a great Christmas tree 2001 and a summer snapshot of Annette holding the sunshine as she is sailing in 1991. Then we have Lucky back in New Hartford 1996 sitting next to a holiday poinsettia. A beautiful picture of Goldie in the cardigan that Annette bought her to keep warm in 2019. And Annette in October 2019 with a close up living the dream – The day we took all the pictures with Goldie.
Annette always enjoying the Changing Seasons, Holidays, Special Events and a New Year as well sharing time with friends and family – And the events always including a great meal – I wish there was one more spiral ham to share. Annette always sending out the holiday and birthday cards timing them for just the right date of arrival – Annette liked to put some amusing little stickers on the outside of the envelope, hoping to spark a smile from the recipient.
As the seasons and holidays changed that meant a time to display new holiday items both inside and out. The flowers outside along with the garden/yard decorations really looking nice – Always enjoying a fall pumpkin, home made Christmas wreath and a new door hanger – Some spooky for Halloween. Annette enjoying a ride in the car to see all the Christmas lights decorating the houses. One year a vacation to Newport Rhode Island to see the mansions of the gilded age all decorated for the Christmas season.
The inside of the house decorated so well – Annette having a nice item/craft for all seasons and holidays proudly displayed - The ceramic Easter Eggs and Chicks, Thanksgiving Turkey with acorns from the yard in the open back, the Halloween and Christmas door hanger with bells inside, all the Christmas decorations and much more. Annette’s Christmas party decorations including garland, flowers and bows adorning the stairway in a glorious display.
Me and Annette spent our last Christmas on 12/25/20 at home with Goldie – Side by side – Always together - Not Alone. Merry Christmas Annette - Annette’s favorite seasonal picture is with her and Goldie next to a pumpkin in October, 2019 – Such a happy day filled with our dream of sunshine together. Annette bringing the holidays alive with joy, laughter and smiles – Annette is my smile – Annette is my laughter. All those years ago and today - Such good times to remember with Annette. I can see the sunshine.....
And a song for Annette https://youtu.be/yyn7_u-sha8 Keith Urban – God Whispered Your Name – That’s When Everything Changed
And then God whispered your name
And that's when everything changed
And love came out of the rain
And talk about being saved

November 11, 2021 - Ten months since Annette passed. Attached we have three pictures as we remember Annette.
January 1998 - Annette on a cold day with a visit to the House of Seven Gables wearing her Cool Cat Shades – What a great time to be on vacation and we visited many attractions – A wonderful picture of Annette by the ocean view that she loves so much – We have a similar picture with Annete by the ocean in the summer - Winter and summer Annette waiting by the calm water with our sunshine to hold.
And then we have Lucky in 1998 and Goldie in 2019 - The Best Forever Friends sniffing the ground for a squirrel.
In November 2018, Annette started the search for her next rescue dog Goldie – The rescue I now know meant more than I could have ever imagined – For both Annette and Me. Annette found Goldie at the Queensbury Shelter after months of searching shelters and foster organizations - Annette was able to share her love with Goldie who fell asleep on Annette’s lap as we sat there happily for an hour. I will always remember Annette saying – We’ll take her…
Goldie weighed just over four pounds and was two years old when Annette rescued her in 2019 – Annette and Me bringing Goldie to the Vet monthly for a weight check – When Goldie reached six pounds the vet told Annette six pounds is a good weight – Don’t let Goldie get over eight pounds – Annette always remembering Goldie’s first visit to the vet and his comment to the Vet technician Paul – “A little bit smaller than Lucky”. Annette loves Lucky so much too, with his rescue on Annette’s Birthday in 1995.
Goldie is the little guardian angel bringing so much joy and happiness – Never leaving Annette for a minute – The rescue of a lifetime. I write this hearing Annette say – You know they brought Goldie up from Tennessee…
And now here is a song for Annette….
https://youtu.be/8HvvWrJT0oY Could It Be I’m Falling In Love by The Spinners - Here is one for Annette that I know she would like… Meeting Annette was my Destiny…
You can be sure I will never let you down
When you need me I'll be around
And darling, you'll always be
The only one for me
Heaven made you specially

A reflection in the mirror as the journey starts to show
But where will all this lead to for me and my new found beau
The ring upon my finger as I joyfully say I Do
Our lives moving forward with a love that truly grew
A new tomorrow upon us with exciting times and glee
Our door of the future open revealing a mystery
And all the years that followed there is kindness all around
As we share a dream together with happiness in the sound
Nothing could ever part us always side by side
Then a higher purpose greets us in the blink of an eye
There is a final moment still never left alone
A final act of kindness shared with the travel home
More days of wonder upon us - I promise you will see
As I hold the brightness tightly for both you and me
Two pictures of Annette - One from our wedding day 9/5/92 and the other from our first vacation together in Vermont 1991. Now side by side as we see Annette’s reflection of life - Nine months later on October 11, 2021.
And we have a picture of Annette’s first rescue dog Lucky with his favorite toy for Tug of War – Looks like Lucky is calling out to Annette – Time for a game – I am here with you.
Then we have Goldie with Annette in 2019 – Looks like Goldie has her own Blink Of An Eye for Annette – Goldie always brings me good memories of Annette. Last night Goldie sat next to me on the sofa and leaned back for me to rub her belly, giving me a soulful look as I looked at her eyes – When I said Annette’s name Goldie reached out her paw and held it on my shirt next to my heart. Cool Cat Annette’s rescue dog of a lifetime with her own message and reflection....

September 5, 1992 – September 5, 2021 - 29 years ago our wedding day - What a beautiful picture of Annette taken at the Stanley Theater in Utica, NY. Annette – So Happy and So Proud that she made her own bouquet of flowers. The day filled with happiness - A wonderful day with bright sunlight as we made our way to our celebration of life together as one – A great adventure for a lifetime.
A nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary on the table - Stewarts Philly Vanilla ice cream ready to enjoy with a taste for Goldie
Annette such a beautiful bride – A beautiful person filled with kindness, laughter, joy and love - Annette not only cared for me, but for Goldie, Lucky and all those around us.
Attached are close ups of Annette’s Forever Friends she rescued – Lucky is Annette’s Labrador, Hound, and Beagle Mix and Goldie her Chihuahua and Terrier Mix – Lucky with Annette for 18 years having days filled with playful toys to a scratch of the ear. Goldie is Annette’s most recent rescue always by her side sharing unconditional love - Every day enjoying a close hug to a walk in the warm sun.
And we have Cool Cat Annette as we enjoy our day by the tranquil water under the glistening blue sky – The future so bright Annette needs shades.
Perhaps a foreshadow as Annette looks over us now with a beautiful smile from the peaceful light of heaven
Annette’s kindness and beautiful smile touched many and left this world a better place. Yes Annette Succeeded.
To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children,
to leave the world a better place,
to know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived,
this is to have succeeded.

July 11, 2021, is six months since Annette’s passing - My Wife, My Best Friend and Goldie’s Forever Friend. I will always remember Annette as Humble, Kind-Hearted, Fun Loving, Giving and Having a Beautiful Smile. Annette Loved Life and lived it to the fullest - We always made the most of our days together - From walking the dog, a ride in the Jeep or a memorable vacation - And lest we forget baking and cooking that Annette taught me so well - The Turkey Taco Skillet meal always a favorite with a serving now waiting. I will always remember Annette and our days of adventure - From our early days planning our wedding to recent years rescuing Goldie at the Queensbury shelter - We'll Take Her, Annette said with a smile and warm heart.
As the days have gone by since January 11th I turn to Annette and realize her goodness and kindness are still by my side and Goldie’s side. I know now that Annette is in a better place beside God, all around us and pain free - I can feel a presence in the memories and treasures I find of Annette’s in a closet, cabinet or drawer, the twinkle of a light, the warm glow of the sun, a cool summer breeze, a robin in the yard, flowers in bloom, and an early morning cat’s meow I see looking in at me through the sidelight window - Perhaps a message to both Me and Goldie from our Cool Cat Annette.
Annette’s kindness and smile touched many and left this world a better place - Lessons for us all to continue to share - Annette taught me so much - Love, Devotion, and Compassion. But I feel I still have so much more to learn. As I reflect, I choose to cherish Annette’s memory with a full heart of love for the time we shared, let Annette’s memory live on and be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
Recently, someone told me that I was with Annette when she met God and Annette’s last thought is of me by her side and an act of kindness. Yes - The same kindness Annette always shares with me - Thank You Annette for all the lessons of love - I continue to learn thanks to you..
Attached in the post above is a picture of Annette and Goldie - Annette with a beautiful smile as she holds Goldie next to her - Cool Cat Annette and Her Cool Dog Goldie - Taken in October 2019 - A great day of fun for us all. Also, we have a picture of Annette and Lucky - First day of his rescue 1/29/1995 - Annette’s Birthday - A present to remember
Here are a few songs for Annette: https://youtu.be/q11Qfx74a0g Joe Bonamassa - When She Dances and https://youtu.be/Z8f-OuOn2TM The Alternate Routes~ Nothing More (A song about kindness)
Now Annette and Lucky together - Both filled with vigor on the path forward in the sunshine – No Pain – No Sorrow – No Cold Paws – Annette and Lucky Sharing Warmth And Love….
I love you Annette and always will and I am sure Goldie does too. I will always take care of Goldie -

As Annette’s birthday approaches, it is eighteen days since her passing on January 11, 2021. Recently, I found memory cards that Annette has saved through the years. One in particular struck me, because it sounds like Annette is speaking to me and all our friends and family. The card is from my Uncle Bert’s funeral in 2003. It reads:
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
With this reading in mind, I ask just one thing of all our friends and family – Please do not forget my wife, my best friend Annette. Annette is in our hearts and lives on forever. I know Annette is with God and all around us. She is remembering us with a great smile. Annette has relief from her pain and wants us to remember her in better days. Annette did have a good life where happiness prevailed. In Annette’s last days she expressed her love and remembered many good times. I will always remember Annette and cherish our time together. My love for Annette is endless. Annette’s memory and love will always be alive in my heart, as I hope in the hearts of all our friends and family.
Happy Birthday Annette. I Love You and Miss You Every Day. Rest in Peace. Keep showing me your smile and point me in the right direction. We will always have “More Than Words”.

This tribute goes out to Annette and all her friends and family. The funeral on Saturday January 16, 2021 was a beautiful remembrance to Annette. The outpouring of love, memories and condolences provide so much comfort. Annette is absolutely loved. Her love, kindness, good heart, smile and joy for life are remembered by all.
Annette is the cornerstone to our life together and twenty-eight years of marriage. She was always there for me and pointing me in the right direction. As I looked out for Annette and tried my best for her, Annette always looked out for me. Even days before passing she asked me are you eating enough and sleeping?
Annette always took care of the condolences, cards, etc. I thought I understood the importance, but now I realize I did not. Annette’s passing brings heartache to my soul. In the same moment, I realize Annette is in a better place where she is at peace and no longer in pain. She is with God.
I was with Annette during her last moments of life. I am positive she knew I was there and let me know she is OK. She let me know she was still there and knew I was with her – A last sign of her love and strength.
The priest made it clear that Annette is in heaven and by God’s side – But where is God – God is all around us, which means so is Annette. As the days have gone by since January 11th I turn to Annette and realize her goodness and kind spirit are still by my side.
Annette was cremated and I chose an urn that was brass, with a silver and light blue color. The urn is accented with a few doves. I set the urn down on the table at home, turned on the light and a dove with a gold color flourished and truly looks like it is in flight, taking Annette home to be with God.
Annette’s memory card is - The Lord Is My Shepherd Psalm 23.
The funeral home enlarged Annette’s picture with a foamboard backing (15 x 20). The picture of Annette is absolutely beautiful. Annette was incredibly happy at this time in October 2019. The picture meant so much to Annette with her dog Goldie on her lap and she was so excited to send the picture out to friends. It was at this time I decided to retire so Annette and I could enjoy more time together, which we did. I will always be thankful for the time we had together, which includes daily walks with Goldie. This picture is how I will remember Annette and ask everyone to do the same.
I miss Annette so much as does her little dog Goldie. The day of the funeral Goldie put her little paws up on the sofa looking left to right for her mama, which she continues to do almost daily. I expect her little dog can still feel Annette’s love as Goldie looks at me now and wags her tail waiting for her favorite biscuit. Annette always was Goldie’s favorite.
When Annette decided she wanted another dog (Since her first dog Lucky passed away seven years ago) she searched for months all the shelters and sites where people foster dogs. Many times, we were so close to adopting a dog but were just too late. Then Annette found Goldie at the Queensbury shelter – We stayed there an hour and Goldie fell asleep on Annette’s lap. Annette was sure this is her dog and said, “We’ll take her”. Annette loved to tell people about Goldie and her history – “You know the shelter brought Goldie up from Tennessee”.
Goldie slept by Annette’s side on the sofa and was able to bring everlasting peace and joy. Annette loved Goldie so much and I am thankful for the happiness that Goldie brings to Annette’s heart and soul. Annette’s love and strength are forever.
Rest in peace Annette. I will always remember your love, kindness, good heart, smile and joy for life. I will especially remember your happiness in your picture with Goldie as I hope all friends and family will.
I love you - Jim.
