Obituary of Arthur M. Young

Arthur M. young, age 80 of Delmar passed away on Wednesday, September, 28, 2016. He was born on September 17, 1936 in Albany, the son of the late Herbert Young and Loretta Baumes Young. He was pre-deceased by brother, James Young. Arthur was raised in Voorheesville, and was a long-time resident of Halfmoon. A veteran of the US Air Force, he retired in 1991 after many years with the New York State Department of Health. He is survived by his children, James (Louise) Young; Nancy (Michael Kane) Denson; Sherle (Shawn) Slingerland; Joseph (Robin) Young; and Jeremy (Monique) Young; and grandchildren, Stephen (Lisa) Schmitt; Amy (CJ) Haslam; Alicia Denson; Stephanie LaLima; Shane Slingerland; Samuel Slingerland; and Elizabeth Young. Also survived by four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Howard Young, and step-sister, Georgia Wyman. The family would like to thank the the nurses on E5 at Albany Med who took exceptional care of Arthur. Also thanks and gratitude to Michael Kane for all of his love and support.
