Obituary of Kevin Tyler Parker

The Lord welcomed Kevin Tyler Parker into his arms on Friday July 15, 2016. Born on January 24, 1992, he was the son of Kevin Parker and Donna Beaudoin. Kevin was a caring, smart, and funny young man who worked at helping others and was destined for greatness. Sadly, he suffered from an addiction, a disease in which took his life. He struggled for the past 2 years and had worked so hard to maintain a constant presence in his son’s, Kaleb James Parker’s life. The disease knows no social boundaries, economic status, or prejudice. Kevin worked with young men and women who were diagnosed HIV+, helping them to acquire medical assistance and support. Yet the demons he battled within himself proved to be greater than he. He is survived by his father Kevin C. (Jamie Fortin) Parker, mother Donna (Tony Braga) Beaudoin, son Kaleb James Parker, his son’s mother, Stacey Bedrosian, siblings Eric (Natalie Siega) Simmons, Cindy (Chris) Wilken, niece Emma Simmons, maternal grandfather Al Cyr, and paternal grandfather Duane Parker. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Chris and Mark Koby, Mike Cyr and Allen Rockwell, Eileen Cyr, Andrew Cyr, and Christine Rodriguez, Valerie Parker, and cousin Alexis Khemili. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Burnt Hills on Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Rutger House in Utica, NY, via Catholic Charities Oneida-Madison County, 248 Main St #10, Oneida, NY 13421.
