Obituary of Howard T Dorn Sr.

Ballston Lake, NY. Howard T. Dorn Sr. age 83 passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday September 8, 2024. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore R. and Lucy M. (Carroll) Dorn. Howard was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia (Sabol) Dorn. He was also predeceased by one brother Garry Dorn and a sister-in-law Maxine Dorn. Howard graduated from Duanesburg High School and then went on to serve in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Watervliet Arsenal for 30 years before retiring and then working for the Shenendehowa Central School District. Howard was a lifelong auto racing fan and car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Howard is survived by his two sons, Brian and (Laura Soler) Dorn and Howard and (Loretta) Dorn Jr. Along with his sons he is survived by three grandchildren, Juan Soler Jr, Brandon Dorn and Maya Dorn. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Jayla Soler, Janelle Soler, Noah Soler and Amirah Solar. Calling hours will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024 from 2-5pm with a Funeral Service being held at 5pm at the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY.
