Halfmoon, NY. Gary L. Mielewski Age 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 7, 2024, after a long illness. Born in Troy NY, He was the son of Frank and Amelia (Osier) Mielewski. He was predeceased by his father Frank Mielewski and his brother Ronald Mielewski Gary attended Shenendehowa High School and served in the US Army. He loved hunting, fishing and camping and he enjoyed spending time in the cabin he built in Ticonderoga. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the NRA. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was very generous and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Gary is survived by his mother, Amelia, his siblings, Michele Rubino, Sheila and (Dave) Messore, Bobby and (Eileen) Mielewski, Dawn and (Rob) Gautreau and his sister-in-law Colleen Mielewski. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 13,2024 from 10am – 12pm at the Catricala Funeral Home 1597 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Emergency Corps., Attn: Community Development, 15 Crossing Blvd, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
