I started as a coworker of Doug’s but became friends outside of work. Something was always popping with Doug around. He made work fun and made me laugh all the time. He was a good man and he will be sorely missed.

Doug is a unique individual that is so loved by our Pereira family. We met him when he was stationed in Guam by my oldest son, Jerome. He became family to all of us, he was a son to me. He now joins my parents in heaven. He called my dad, his papa too. Doug practically stayed at our Urunao Beach and the ranch with my dad at all hours of the day when he could. He loved being with the family and we loved having him.
My name is Angelica A. Pereira. I have 2 boys, Jerome and AlanJoseph Pereira and 1 girl, Aysha P. Adams that will miss him terribly. I am honored to have met a young gentleman that had a lot of light in his life to share and brighten our life.
My heart goes out to you and your family in your time of sorrow.

Ol Setter bought this old Toyota pick up in Guam and painted it snow camo with the mad flap girl all over it. He got in trouble for it on base and was told he couldn’t drive it on base like that and they made him cover it up with a tarp. And he would ride his mountain bike on the back wheel down the balcony of the dorms and then down the stairs. He was a great guy and a damn good friend. I will never forget all the great times and laughs we had cuz there wasn’t any telling what would come outta his mouth. And his dad was funny as hell too we talked to him on FaceTime/skype. Fly high Doug I love u bro and u will definitely be missed

Doug was a great guy, met him when we were stationed in Guam together. The first time I met him was when the battery in my truck died at work and he gave me a ride to get a new battery and even stuck around to help change it out and made sure my truck started. We weren’t even in the same shop and had no clue who he was until that day. Great man. He will be missed. IYAAYAS Brother.
