Obituary of Owen W. Vay

Owen W. Vay, age 22 of Ravena passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born on April 27, 2001, the son of William R. Vay Jr., and Laurel Wilson. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents William and Carol Vay.

Owen worked for Philips Healthcare in Menands, working on the quality control team where he tested and ensured the MRI machine components were made properly. He was an avid Raiders football fan and loved to play the drums. Owen faithfully attended services at Northway Church.

He is survived by his mother Laurel (Peter) Wilson, father William R. Vay Jr., siblings Joshua Kinmartin, Julia Wilson, Peter Wilson, and Hope Vay, his maternal grandparents Melvin and Marilynn Kinmartin, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a brief Greek Orthodox service at 8 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9 in Clifton Park. There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 4th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held in Buffalo, NY at a later date.
