Obituary of Robert E. Sicko

Robert E. Sicko, age 89 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on April 17, 2023. Born on December 31, 1933, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Sicko. He was predeceased by his sons Mark Edmonds and Robert Sicko and his siblings Lawrence, Marie, Shirley, and Walter.

Robert spent his career as a union construction laborer, working with the Local 190 and Local 157, retiring in 1999. One of his greatest joys in life was tending to his massive vegetable garden and sharing them with the neighborhood at his vegetable stand. It was not unusual to see him riding around his yard on his vintage John Deere tractor and lawn mowers.

He is survived by wife Mary A. Sicko, his children JoAnn “Jodi” (Frank) Riccitelli, Tifany Sicko (Ed), Todd Edmonds, Derek (Donna) Edmonds, Richard (Stephanie) LaBeau, and Carl, Thomas, and James Sicko, and his sister Barbara Rousselle. He was also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park.
