Obituary of Barbara A. Millington

Barbara A. Millington passed into the arms of Jesus on the morning of March 26, 2023.
She was born July 13, 1930 in Lansingburgh, NY.
She is predeceased by her parents and husband of 57 years, James H. Millington. She is survived by her 4 children, Michael Farley (Susan), Sean Farley, Timothy Farley (Patricia), and Jami Millington-Piraino (Anthony). Grandchildren, Tanya Peters, Benjamin Cooper, Kevin Cooper, Kyle Farley, Ryan Farley, Kelly Harris, Anthony Piraino, and Christian Piraino. Great-Grandchildren, Victoria, Jaxon, Kaia, Colten, Caleb, Branden, Finn, and Lila as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a retiree of Norton Company in Watervliet, NY. A devoted volunteer at the former Leonard Hospital, First Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh, and the Church of the Bought in Cohoes. She served in Church leadership for much of her life as well as taught Sunday School, was church secretary for several years, served as Clerk of the Session for the Albany Presbytery, and was a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was always a very humble woman seeking no glory or recognition for her service.

A gathering to celebrate Barbara’s life will take place on Monday, April 3 at the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9 in Halfmoon from 10 a.m. until the start of a memorial service at 12 p.m. followed by her internment at Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at 1:30 p.m. alongside her husband.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Barbara’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or The Tunnels To Towers Foundation.
