Carla and family: Jeff was a wonderful classmate at the Coast Guard Academy. I got to know him best when he and I spent literally all our free time Junior year building a concrete canoe and then racing it in Maine that spring. Although reserved, Jeff had a wonderful sense of humor, an unforgettable smile, a love to work on physical things (we didn't have cars our junior year) and a gentleman's behavior at all times. We thought our canoe was a yacht until we hit a rock about half-way through the race... but that is another story.
We all share your loss of such a bright light. Please accept our sincere condolences and love at this most difficult time.

RIP, my friend. Teammates at USCGA for Fall of 1978 (many impressive wins) and classmates in the Class of 1982. Jeff was quiet but a fierce competitor. He was a gentleman and a fine example to all of where perseverance and hard work can take you. Our prayers go out to the family. . .you have friends you have never met!

Carla,
Words cannot express my sadness upon hearing of Jeff's passing. Besides being a classmate, we also served together on Governor's Island back in the mid-80's when we worked at what was then called Group New York.
It seemed Jeff devoted much of his spare time back then to working on his car. It was an orange Dodge Challenger if my memory is correct. He did have a way with cars.
Please accept my condolences during this difficult time. My family and I will keep you, Megan, Erika, and Andrew in our thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure to work with Jeff and he was a great person and worker.
He always loved his family and of course his cars.
He will be missed by all who knew him, but we must remember he is now in charge of "Mopar in the sky."
