Obituary of Evelyn I. Rapp
Evelyn I. Rapp, age 104 of Colonie passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Born on April 16, 1918 in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Amy Pulver. She was predeceased by her husband John E. Rapp Jr., her siblings Jesse, Roger, Everett, Harry, Arthur, and Gladys, and her grandchildren Scott Flanders and Kelly Farrington.
Evelyn worked as a service clerk for the NYS Department of Labor in Albany for 30 years. She also worked in the security office at SUNY Albany for 10 years. She was a life member of the VFW in New York and Florida, and the Colonie Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters Bonita I. (David) Flanders and Diana Benante, grandchildren Caitlin Farrington, David (Kaitlin) Ashley, John (Danielle) Ashley, Lisa (Scott) Flanders-Monheimer, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, May 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to an organization of your choice.
