Oh, Dearest Fruitgirl! I had just clicked send on my email to you when the incoming phone message announced you had left us.
No other mere cousins ever experienced the endearing 80 years we shared together. Grandmas cooking, best hiding places, good boy dancers at Kaye's porch, charging lionesses down that field, our weddings, our children and grandchildren....all of life.
So many of my life's cherishments were shared with you. I have missed you, and now I always will.
Say, "how are ya", to that long line of Dollars and Schultz's we knew all of our lives. Goodbye Fruitest.
