Obituary of Joan M. English

Joan M. English, age 70 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2021. She was born on July 19, 1950, the daughter of the late Roy and Jean Shippee. Joan spent her career with NY Telephone Co. in Albany and retired after 35 years. She enjoyed gardening and hunting for deals at garage sales. She is survived by her husband Joseph English, sons Fred (Shirley) English and Chris English, granddaughters Madison and Samantha English, grandson Joseph English, great-grandson Beau English – Hughes, her sisters Terri Shippee, and Susan DuPont, brother Tim Wooster, cousin Tom Alexanian, and her niece Karla Salvi. She is also survived by her longtime friends of 50 years; Leonard and Nancy Borden. All funeral services will be private.
