Obituary of James E. McKevitt

James E. McKevitt, age 80 of Malta passed away on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital. Born on June 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary McKevitt. He was predeceased by his wife Maureen C. McKevitt. A veteran of the US Navy, James was a NYS Trooper out of Malta for 23 years, and served as a judge in the Town of Malta for 23 years. He was an avid golfer and fulfilled his dream to play at St. Andrew’s and Pebble Beach. He is survived by his daughters Mary Jo (Kurt) Rohling, Kathleen (Jay) Uline, and Colleen (Michael) Nitchman, son James A. McKevitt, brother Alfred (Linda) McKevitt, and grandchildren Nate, Michaela, Mickey, Maureen, Hannah, Jilly, and Ben. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Saratoga. Interment will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. The family requests no flowers be sent.
