Michael Popolizio, age 68 of Halfmoon passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Born on April 16, 1952. He was the son of Nicholas and the late Anne Popolizio. Michael was a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1974-1977. He was the founder of Camelot Print & Copy Center in Albany, and retired after over 20 years. Michael was very active in Rotary International, most recently belonging to Shenendehowa Rotary Club, and served as a past District Governor. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking, camping and scuba diving. Mike spent his entire life on a quest for knowledge. Thru his continuing education, fierce reading habit, and unwillingness to miss an episode of Jeopardy he constantly sought to better himself. Always the jokester, Mike’s sense of humor was only seconded by his supreme love for his family. He is survived by his wife Barbara Popolizio, sons Thomas (Julie) Popolizio, and Mark Popolizio, his father Nicholas Popolizio, and his grandchildren Calvin, Bradley, and Annie. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 15th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. As per Mike’s wishes, we request this gathering be drama free and full of memories of the good times shared together. A private family burial will be held at the Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Rotary International Foundation.
