Obituary of Harriet E. Washer

Harriet E. Washer, age 93 of Ballston Lake, formerly of Sebastian, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Born in 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Daisy May Nystrand. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Washer and her siblings John Albert Nystrand, Robert Nystrand, and Gladys Rosenkrans.

Harriet spent her career as a registered nurse at Franklin Hospital in Franklin, NJ, and Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY, as well as working on her family’s farm and raising her family. She was a member of the Little Hollywood Association in her Florida community.

She is survived by her daughters Jane (Paul) Monast, Judy (James) Caton, and Brenda Washer, her sons Robert (Carol) Washer Jr., and Ned Washer, and her sister Doris Kalafut. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

According to Harriet’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
