To the family of Ruth.
She will always be remembered as a wonderful neighbor. She had vim and vigor and was always interested in others. I walked up Rosewood with my dogs countless times and they always turn their heads at Ruth and Win's driveway in the hope that one or both of them would be sitting on the front porch. We always stopped for a chat. They both are such animal lovers and the animals sense that. Ruth was the only person who ever called me Chrissy and she said it with such great affection. I will miss chats with her about books, the neighborhood, my many trips, the pool and just life in general. I'll also miss the many times the "foxy Lady" in her red car rounded the corner and gave me a big honk and wave. She was truly one in a million and I feel so fortunate to have had her in my life. I remember many Christmas Eve services at shenedahowa United Methodist Church singing with Ruth in the choir. I was in high school at the time and remember how beautiful Ruth's voice was. So very sorry to hear of her passing.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Winston, Doug and family. Ruth was such a vibrant, caring and beautiful person. We knew Ruth from Locust Lane Pool and would look forward to seeing her each summer for many years. She would sit under the big shade tree reading her book and would chat to all who would pass by who also knew Ruth for years. She loved our children and grandchildren and would look forward to speaking with them each summer. Ruth will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

I only knew you for about 7 years. But in that time you have taught me so much. You were my best friend, my momma. I will forever cherish our time together. And the time you spent with my family. To my children you are grandma Ruth. To me you will always be my momma. I loved and respected you more than words can say. My hearts is broken, but you are now at rest, and no more worries.

I remember fondly the time spent with Ruth & Winn in Clifton Park while I attended the Annual JVC jazz festival. We always celebrated Ruth’s birthday with a visit to the pool a homemade pizza or trip to watch the horse races at Saratoga Park. Ruth Winn& Julie spent brief weekends in NJ on their way to dive in Bonaire for weeks at a time. One year we were snowed in by a blizzard and cleaned the house of all the food between shoveling. Ruth & Winn made a trip to AZ mid 2000 visiting brother Jim & wife Betty before heading north to Flagstaff. We got an engineers tour of Glen Canyin dam & enjoyed the stunning Red Ricks of Sedona at Tlaquapaque

I was so saddened to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was my WW coach for a season and as a neighbor we had many opportunities to visit ‘streetside’. Usually, she’d roll down the window of her beautiful red car to enquirer about the children, my health, and share general neighborly news. She was a talented ‘people person’ and my life is richer for having known her.
Please accept our sincerest condolences at this time. We plan to donate to the Indian School as a way to commemorate her life and passion.
