Dear Lisa, Laura and Peter,
We are so saddened by Lucille's passing. Luckily, we have fond memories of chatting and laughing with her that we will hold dear. She was such a strong lady, with a way of making you see things her way :) We were most fortunate to have known both of your parents. Our little section of the street is much darker now, but she has found the light home, and once again is with your dad.
Love,
Linda and Len

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Lucille. I started off just being her and Chets house cleaner, but we ended up becoming friends. I loved our chats, and hearing her stories when I came to their house. I think I probably spent as much time hanging out and talking with her as I did working! Lucille was a little spitfire, and I loved hearing her stories about growing up in the city, her and Chets adventures, about all the kids, neighbors and people she encountered. She was one of the spunkiest ladies I knew, but also had one of the biggest hearts around. I once was going thru some hard times, and she sensed it. She came to me while I was cleaning, and gave me a little heart pin, and said, "This is for you, because you have a big heart". I was so caught off guard, and touched, the water works were hard to hold back. And that's just 1 little example of her kind heart. She was a proud, funny, kind woman, who knew the value of hard work and the finer things in life. She treasured her husband and family, and it showed. She will be greatly missed, and I'm very sad I did not get to see her recently, but I'm happy knowing she's back with her love, Chet. My condolences go to all her kids and family. Your mom was a great woman.
