Obituary
Obituary of Constance M. Crowe
Please share a memory of Constance to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Connie Crowe left for heaven on Tuesday, June 24th sitting right where she wanted to be, in her living room, holding hands with her three children.
Mom died only 20 days after dad, her husband of 60 beautiful years; a real life love story. Best mom to Nancy (Don) O’Donnell, Sherry (Joe) Walker, Arthur (Allison) Crowe. Incredible Grammy to Leah, Danny, Joey, AJ, Huntley, Minerva and Gypsy.
Nothing meant more to her than loving and spending time with family. She lived for every moment, phone call, hug and kiss and we lived for hers. Mom never missed waving goodbye out the living room window or kissing us and saying ‘love ya, love ya’.
Primary caregiver for dad throughout his battle with Alzheimer’s, she never once complained. It was especially hard when she got sick as dad just couldn’t offer much support to which she said ‘He’s doing the best he can’. Mom lived 1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 7 all her life, ‘Love is patient, Love is kind…’ She taught us by just being herself.
Mom didn’t live for fancy; she loved impromptu family dinners, school events, her lawn chair in front of the campfire, deer rides down camp road, good old fashioned lightning storms and a fire in the fireplace.
An incredible seamstress, sewing our wedding gowns and suit jackets for dad, canning veggies, growing flowers and teaching her grandkids all those things only a Grammy can teach. We ‘love ya, love ya’ mom and Grammy…to pieces and forever.
Born in Gloversville on July 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Agnes Mosher and sister of Sally Semione.
In lieu of flowers please honor mom’s legacy of helping others by ‘Paying it Forward’. Reach out and do something special for someone, then drop us a note at payitforwardformom@cromilton.com and let us know what you did to keep her lifelong legacy alive.
