Obituary of Marion E. Ropitzky

Marion E. Ropitzky, age 90 passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Ella May Chouiniere. She was predeceased by her husband Walter “Pete” Ropitzky and her brother Arthur Chouiniere.

Marion worked at the Grand Union in Northside, Waterford for over 30 years. She was a member of the Halfmoon-Waterford Fire House Ladies Auxiliary and the Christ Community Reformed Church.

She is survived by her daughter Constance (Albert) Ferro, son Richard (Peg) Ropitzky, sisters Shirley Bold and Ruth Petuske, grandchildren Liza (Jason) Milo, Michael (Maggie) Ferro, Erica (Patrick) Glisson, and Morgan (Vinny) Mucurio, and her great-grandchildren Isabella, Anthony, Blake, Sawyer, Lucy, and Vinny.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 20^th at 11 a.m. at the Christ Community Reformed Church, 1010 Route 146 in Clifton Park.
