Obituary of David W. Bruhns

David W. Bruhns, age 81 of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Born on September 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Walter and Stella Bruhns.

David was the president of Thermal Environment Sales Inc. in Halfmoon which he founded in 1970. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, enjoyed spending time at the Saratoga Race Course, was a member of the Edison Club in Rexford. He enjoyed swimming with his family and was affectionally known as “Torpedo Man” and “4 Star Dave", and loved to go skiing at Bolton Valley in Vermont.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Jean Marie Bruhns, children David W. (Patricia) Bruhns, Jr., Jeanne (Carl) Hebert, Erik (Jennifer) Bruhns, and Heidi (Brian) Cavert. He was the beloved Pop-Pop to his grandchildren Matthew (Erin), Timothy (Marisa), Erika (Ryan), Andrew (Glenna), Adam (Christine), Ben (Jess), Cameron, Alexander, Dylan L., Dylan R., Morgan, Evan, Ethan, Dustin, Paige, Meredith, Ely, and Stella, and his great-grandchildren Hannah and Riley.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family requests no flowers be sent. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
