Dear Angie and Family,
I was saddened to learn of Norm's passing. He was a teacher to me in my early days at DAAA, as we endured those marathon budget justification review meetings and became a trusted friend, colleague and great softball partner. His sometimes gruff exterior, as I learned was merely his way of giving you an entrance exam. Once you got past it, there was a wealth of knowledge, compassion and dedication to be found.
I pray that the Lord comforts you at this time of loss.

Dear Angie and Family,
Ellie notified me of your recent sorrow.
My Prayers, and those of Mike's & Dave's families will be offered for
Norm and your family. A Mass will be said in my Parish in NV, so I
will be able to attend.
You are facing a difficult time, however, allow yourself to grieve as
that is normal in this life. Do not be afraid to allow your emotions to
show, even the Lord cried at times! Trust, time heals, but it takes time!

Brian and the rest of the Caron family:
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your father last week. All of your friends here at FINRA are concerned and wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We all enjoyed reading about your father in the obituary and noted his love for hunting and golf. We sincerely hope that fond and treasured memories of your dad will provide comfort to you during this difficult time. The group here in PIPEs made a contribution to the Double H Ranch in your father's memory. We look forward to seeing you back in the office next week.
Thinking of you,

I was saddened to hear of Norm's passing. I worked with Norm for many years at DAAA and OASAS. He was truly one of a kind. Beneath the gruff exterior was a keen intellect, a great sense of humor, and a very kind heart. Initially I was a bit terrified of him, but it wasn't long before I spied the twinkle in his eyes that revealed the genuine warmth that lay beneath the surface. I could not have had a better colleague and friend. My deepest condolences to his family, especially his wife Angela and their sons.

I am very sorry to read of the loss of Norm Caron. I would like to express my sincere sympathies to the Caron family.
I worked with Norm on budget and policy related matters when he was high ranking official at the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) and I was a Principal Analyst for the NYS Senate Finance Committee.
Norm was a dedicated public servant, who served the people of the State of New York with honesty, professionalism and integrity. Norm and I got along very well during our years working together. Though at times, I may have been at odds with Norm and his colleagues at OASAS as to the direction the agency was taking or proposing to take, we work together cordially to advance satisfactorily to all involved the agenda of OASAS, which would include the needs of my Senate members during our budget and policy negotiations.
Norm was a fine human being and I always enjoyed our interactions.
My heart goes out to Caron family on you loss,

Norm was a dear friend for many, many years -- going way back to Manhattan Rehab Center in the 1970's. He worked hard and with great integrity as he strove to assure funding for those in need, rising to every challenge. I was proud to call him my co-worker.

Dear Angela, Brian & Thomas,
I am shocked and saddened to learn of Norm;s passing. I did not know Norm very much but I know that he had a soft spot in his heart for the most vulnerable among us. His support of St. Martin de Porres Residence's ministry is a testament to that fact. Please be assured of my prayers as you grieve his passing. May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace
