I knew Donny at ULowell from 73 to 77. We were on the same dorm floor. Saw him almost everyday in college. He was truly one of my buds. I just heard from another college friend today (10/18/22) that he had passed. I had visited Donny at RPI in 1978, last contact we had. I will always remember his Salem stories, his wit, genious and kindness. Brought sadness to me today thinking back to those much younger, crazy days. May you RIP eternally Don. We will reconnect someday in another world.

I was greatly saddened when I learned a while back of Don's passing. Unfortunately, I did not know of this site or I would have posted some thoughts earlier. We attended Bishop Fenwick together for 4 years and quickly became good friends. We both went off to Lowell Tech together with several other friends. Our lives went on in different directions after I transferred to another college. But for a time, we still stayed in touch. But as sadly happens in life, over the years, our contact was limited to weddings and funerals and even then, less and less. But please let me attest to something that anyone who knew Don certainly knows. He was one of the most caring and decent people who I have ever met. Those of us who were lucky enough to share time with him were truly blessed by the experience.

My heart goes out to your loss Sue. I just found out about Don's passing and was deeply saddened. Although we haven't kept in contact through the years , Don was a very good friend during our days at RPI. We had a many a good time during those few years in school. My memories of Don consisted of him constantly complaining of his 'bum' knee. He was always ready with a funny story either about his knee, or the time when he buried his dad's skil saw in the yard so he wouldn't find it after leaving it out in the rain for a couple of days and ruining it. When Don was telling these stories, they would always cause us to roar with laughter, no matter how many times he would tell them.
Don also learned to ride a motorcycle during those RPI years. I still remember him borrowing my motorcycle to ride around the campus roads. I would look out the window to check on him and would be screaming down the road at a lightning 11 miles an hour..
He was a great friend, full of wit and humor, and surely I will miss him.

I was saddened to hear of Don's passing. He was a classmate of mine at Bishop Fenwick High School. Although we had some of the same classes, he was much more intelligent and studious than I was. My prayers are with his family at this time.

To Don's family I offer my deepest condolences. Don was a great guy and fun to be around. I worked with Don for years at Fleet and Bank of America. Many a design meeting at the bank resulted in a Don'ism to bring a level of wisdom to our decisions. One of my favorites was "You can have a team of monkeys. At least one needs to know how to peel a banana". It was these quotes that brought levity to some complex discussions over the years and made the bank a better place to work. I was blessed to know Don the time I did and better for it. Loss is always a tough thing but realize you didn't lose Don you gained an angel. God Bless.
