Gerald T. “Jerry” Blanchard, Jr., age 58 of Halfmoon passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Albany Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Niskayuna, he was the son of the Arlene (Ronald) DeAngelus and the late Gerald Blanchard.
Jerry worked as a professional painter for Town & Country Painting Ent. In Clifton Park for several years. He loved his family, music, and his two dogs.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his son Adam Blanchard, sisters Kathi Rickard, Nicole Blanchard, and Natalie Shea, and three nieces, Haley (Joseph) Aidala, Jennifer (Scott) Harvey, and Melissa Rusnica.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, 316 Old Stage Rd., Saugerties, NY 12477.
