Obituary of Mary L. Delaney

Mary L. Delaney, age 85, of Claverack passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. Born on August 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Catherine (Sciessere) Ronsani. She was predeceased by her husband- Clayton Delaney (1991), and brothers- Joseph Ronsani (1941) and Angelo Ronsani (1998). A lifelong resident of Columbia County, Mary made her home and raised her family on the land of her family’s farm where she had worked and played as a child. She will always be loved, remembered, and missed by those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her grandchildren- Mark Delaney and Molly Delaney, her sons- Michael (Kim) Delaney, Joseph (Jill) Delaney, and David Delaney, her brother- Joseph (Mary) Ronsani, her sister- Elizabeth Ronsani and her beloved nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 3 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bates and Anderson Funeral Home, 110 Green St., in Hudson, with a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Philmont.
