Obituary of Robert L. Campochiaro

Robert L. Campochiaro, age 78 of Clifton Park passed away on Thursday October 1, 2015. Born on August 31, 1937 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Josephine Campochiaro. Robert graduated from Nott Terrace (Linton) High School in 1957 and Hudson Valley Community College in 1959 before serving his country in the US Army from 1960 to 1966. He worked for Trustco Bank as an auditor and commercial loan officer for 45 years. He was an officer and served as treasurer of the Schenectady Downtown Business Association. He was a member of the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce, and served on the PTSA of Scotia-Glenville Junior and Senior High School. He was certified in a continuing education program on commercial lending and credit analysis at SUNY Albany and Chase Manhattan Bank in NYC. He also served for many years on the United Fund Auditing Service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Teresa Campochiaro, beloved son Michael (Elizabeth) Campochiaro, twin grandchildren Benjamin and Violet, aunt Louise Monarch, and nieces Shari Lynn, Michelle, Kelly, and Kristy. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7 at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. The family will be receiving guests starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehab Center, 297 North Ballston Ave., Scotia, NY 12302, or to the Catholic Charities of the Dioceses of Albany, 40 North Main Avenue, Albany, NY 12203.
