Obituary of Virginia L. Mahler

Virginia L. “Ginny” Mahler, age 75 of Clifton Park passed away on Friday September 4, 2015 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s. Born on July 25, 1940 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Meta Bump. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years; Richard Arthur Mahler Sr., and her sister Barbra Venner. Ginny spent most of her time as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She also worked at several restaurants in the Adirondacks. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to bake wedding cakes. She is survived by her children Richard (Gillian), Roger “Skip” (Frances), Randy, Raymond (Elaine), Laura Lee, and Rodney (Rachel), brothers Kenneth and Jerry Bump, 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m., with a service at 5:30 p.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
