Obituary of Raymond F. DeCrescente

Raymond Francis DeCrescente Sr. DMD, was born on February 21, 1935. He passed away on July 12, 2015 at 7:15pm. Raymond DeCrescente Sr. was born and raised in Mechanicville, NY. He was the son of the late Daria and Cosmo DeCrescente. He graduated from Siena College and Tufts University School of Dentistry. He was married to Teresa Walters DeCrescente and had three children, Raymond Jr., Donna, and John. He served as a Dentist with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. Upon discharge, he returned to Mechanicville with his family where he practiced dentistry for 30 years. Although he was an only child, Raymond came from a large extended family with which he shared many lasting memories. Raymond belonged to several social clubs where he was active in volunteer services and was surrounded by many friends. He often spent his time fishing and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains, where the family spent many summer and winter vacations. In 2003, Raymond and his wife moved to Cape Coral, FL where they enjoyed the weather and met many new friends. In 2012, due to his health issues, it was necessary to return to New York to be closer to family. At the request of the deceased, there will be no services or calling hours at his home. Memorial donations may be made in Raymond’s memory to the cancer charity of one’s choice.
