Elizabeth “Betty” McCready Kleiner of Clifton Park passed away on Sunday July 5, 2015 at her home. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Carl D. and Elizabeth McCready. She was predeceased by her brother Carl and son James J. Harrington Jr. Betty graduated from East Aurora High School in 1946 and went on to earn her nursing degree at Buffalo General Hospital in 1950. She was an OR nurse at Buffalo General Hospital, and last employed at Albany Medical Center as the head nurse of the dialysis unit. Until her health declined, she was an avid traveler, volunteer at CAPTAIN and was an active bridge player. She was a member of the International Bridge Club, Southern Saratoga Woman’s Club, and Quilt Inc. She is survived by her husband Clifford F. Kleiner, children Barbara (Don Rea) Harrington, Susan (Douglas) Harrington Degen, Tom Kleiner, Paul Kleiner, Ellen (Terry) Ross, Daniel (Deb) Kleiner, Margaret (Jason) Perrault, and Jennifer (Aaron) Cohen, 17 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Crescent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Captain Youth Services, 5 Municipal Plaza # 3, Clifton Park, NY 12065 or the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
